Basement Waterproofing and Crawlspace Repair

This July, our customer service team has experienced a large number of Basement Waterproofing and Crawlspace calls.

These first summer months are known to bring our lovely East Tennessee area some heavy rain.  July is one of the three “wettest months” as recorded on TVA.gov.  This water can begin to leak into your basement several different ways.  It can drain through any opening including walls, floors, and the joints between them.  Water can even pass through the concrete itself—which is why basements are notoriously damp, humid spaces.

We can locate where the water is coming from and then fix the underlying issue.  It is a good idea to call us before a small leak leads to flooded basement!  Usually, our waterproofing system takes installers 1-2 days.  Don’t worry, we have numerous solutions to just about every problem.

Flooded basement

As for Crawlspaces, we are having people complaining of rotting, molding, or foul odors.  In some cases, we are seeing flooding problems, so our customers are left with standing water in their crawlspace.  We have to go in, install airtight doors and vent covers, remove any standing water, repair the structure, encapsulate and insulate, and lastly install a dehumidifier.  Our repairs save you money on energy bills and re-gain your space for potential storage.  The process is quick and easy and we only use patented, warranted products.

Your foundation condition very much relies on the crawlspace condition.  Think of the crawlspace as your homes connection to Earth’s natural elements.  Air rises from the crawlspace into the home.  If that air is smelly, moldy,  you can expect to notice this in your home.
