Derek B. called Master Dry in regards to potential problems with his Bean Station, TN vacation home. He noticed the floors beginning to sag and caulk pulling away in the bathrooms. Believing that these signs could be indicative of a larger issue, an inspector was sent out to conduct a thorough inspection of the home and suggest a course of action.
When sales representative James Anthony arrived at the home, he inspected the crawlspace as well as the home’s interior. He was able to determine that the issues the homeowner had been seeing were due to foundation settling from crawlspace issues. At James’ suggestions, a team led be foreman Nick Crozier came out to the home to being work repairing the crawlspace. To begin, they covered the floor of the crawlspace with black plastic to act as a moisture barrier. They removed debris, sealed visible gaps, and installed a crawlspace dehumidifier to remove humidity and moisture that had been negatively affecting the foundation of the home. Finally, the team installed SmartJacks to raise the foundation of the home back to its original position and stabilize it to protect against future wear and tear.
The work done on this foundation and crawlspace was a huge success. Once just job was completed, the owner was incredibly satisfied with the quality of work done. He was also very happy to know that the quality of his home had been improved and that it was protected for the future.
