The sunken and cracked concrete around your Cumberland County home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
We use slab jacking or mudjacking for smaller jobs such as leveling sidewalks, patios, driveways, and pool decks. Precise holes are drilled into your slab. Then a specialized mortar-like grout or "mud" is pumped, under pressure, to raise and level your slab. The holes are filled with concrete and troweled smooth. Most jobs can be completed in one day. For larger jobs we use slab piers. These can be used to correct large sections of concrete such as warehouse slabs. Call us today to learn more.
Everett S. of Crossville, TN was surprised to find how moist the environment in his crawl space was. He was also shocked to find another major issue - a large crack in one of the crawl space walls. After researching crawl space repair on the Internet, he came across the website for Master Dry Foundation and Waterproofing Specialists, a local waterproofing contractor. He signed up for a free estimate through the website and someone called him back the next day to schedule an appointment.
Crawl space expert Curtis Ward of Master Dry performed an inspection of the crawl space. He recommended having push piers installed to support the foundation and address the crack in the crawl space wall. To return the crawl space to a dry, healthy environment, he suggested a SaniDry CX dehumidifier and vent covers to keep outside air out. Foreman Josh Williams and his team arrived promptly and began work on the crawl space. Josh noticed that water from the gutters was landing right next to the foundation and was seeping into the crawl space. He suggested installing a downspout extension and a LawnScape outlet to direct water away from the house.
Within a couple days, the work was completed. Everett no long has to worry about water or mold infiltrating his crawl space. If he has any other foundation or waterproofing problems in the future, he knows exactly who to call!
After a particularly heavy rainfall, Eugene H. of Crossville, TN, was shocked to find a small flood in his unfinished basement. In need of a waterproofing contractor in his area, Eugene decided to call Master Dry Foundation and Waterproofing Specialists after seeing their booth at a local home improvement expo.
Master Dry’s waterproofing expert Frank Yelencich conducted an inspection of Eugene’s basement and provided him with a free estimate for suggested repairs. Foreman Michael Geasland soon arrived on the job to install a WaterGuard drainage system and a SuperSump sump pump to remove water and keep Eugene’s basement dry, even during periods of heavy rain. The crew also installed an IceGuard discharge line device to ensure that water would be able to drain out of the basement even if the pipes become frozen or blocked. This water is directed to a LawnScape outlet where it is carried away from the foundation to avoid further drainage issues and foundation damage.
Now when a storm hits the area, Eugene won’t have to run downstairs to check on his basement because he has a trusty waterproofing system to keep his home dry and healthy!
Del P. of Crossville, TN was no stranger to construction. He built his brick family home with his own two hands. But when his retaining wall cracked straight up and down, he needed to call in a foundation specialist to determine the best way to repair it. Del was familiar with Master Dry Foundation and Waterproofing Specialists’ work and called to set up a free estimate with specialist Scott Frazier.
Scott informed Del that the outward pressure against the retaining wall had caused it to crack. Fortunately, no excavation or foundation repair would be needed to rectify the situation. To increase the strength of the wall, he suggested simply supporting the retaining wall at its weakest point, where the crack had emerged. Foreman Josh Williams and his team therefore installed two helical tiebacks. Made of steel, the tiebacks reattached and reinforced the retaining wall. They are also thin enough so that Del can replace the stone on top and hide the tiebacks, restoring the aesthetic appeal of his home!
The team’s work was definitely up to Del’s standards. He can appreciate and enjoy his lovely home once again. And if there is ever any more work that Del’s skilled hands can’t handle by themselves, he has a dependable partner in Master Dry!
