We use slab jacking or mudjacking for smaller jobs such as leveling sidewalks, patios, driveways, and pool decks. Precise holes are drilled into your slab. Then a specialized mortar-like grout or "mud" is pumped, under pressure, to raise and level your slab. The holes are filled with concrete and troweled smooth. Most jobs can be completed in one day. For larger jobs we use slab piers. These can be used to correct large sections of concrete such as warehouse slabs. Call us today to learn more.
When homeowner Wes P. of Kingsport smelled a foul odor coming from his crawl space, he knew there was a problem. After spotting some mold, he knew he needed to call in an expert to examine the situation and take care of the problem before the nasty odor and mold started to cause an issue inside of his home. A search for crawl space experts in the area yielded Master Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Specialists. Wes contacted the company to set up his free inspection.
Expert Steve Price came to examine the crawl space. Along with the much needed mold remediation, Steve saw that the problem would only continue unless the crawl space was dried out. Foreman Nick Crozier and his team used mold spray and installed a dehumidifier to keep moisture out of the air. Next, they installed an EZ Flow drainage system and a SuperSump sump pump. Finally, they protected the space from the outside using an EverLast crawl space door and vent covers.
Encapsulated, dry, and mold-free, the team at Master Dry ensured that Wes’s crawl space would no longer be a source of worry!
Doris W. of Kingsport, TN was in the process of finishing her basement. She had covered half the floor with new hardwood flooring when water leakage hindered her plans. At first she hoped it would be short-lived, putting some towels up along the wall and waiting it out. But the water began to warp and ruin the hardwood floors. She decided to call the waterproofing professionals at Master Dry Foundation and Waterproofing Specialists to help solve her wet basement problem.
Master Dry sent expert Jake Smith to inspect the basement. Based on Jake’s suggestions for repair, Foreman Cory Blacock and his crew installed a WaterGuard drainage system along the walls keep the water from spreading. This drainage system directs water to the new SuperSump sump pump, equipped with an UltraSump battery backup pump. Discharge lines installed with an IceGuard device help direct the water outside of the house and to the LawnScape drainage outlet. This means that no matter the conditions – power outage or blocked or frozen pipes – Doris will have a working waterproofing system to keep the water out of her basement.
Because Doris has a reliable way to remove water, she can finish her basement without worrying that she’ll just have to re-do the work. Her hardwood floors will look great in the new healthy, dry environment. She cannot thank Jake, Cory, and the rest of the team at Master Dry enough for her dry basement!
Burchell C. of Kingsport, TN had a problem with the floor above his basement. There was a noticeable dip when walking on it. When he went down to the basement to inspect, he could tell that the support beam was sagging just a bit. He was concerned about the stability of his home and knew that he needed to call in help to figure out the next step. Burchell found Master Dry Foundation and Waterproofing Specialists online and contacted them to set up an inspection.
While inspecting the support beams and surrounding floor joists, structural repair expert Josh Sulfridge from Master Dry suggested the SmartJack crawl space support system would provide the best solution to lift them back into place and support the weight of the house above. Foreman Josh Williams and his team came back a few days later for the installation. They needed to pour concrete footers to secure the base of the crawl space supports, which extend up to the ceiling and bear the compression load. In the end, two supports were used, one on either side of the sagging beam.
Burchell could feel the difference immediately when he walked across his living room floor – it was level! And more importantly, he doesn’t have to be afraid of applying weight to the area. If he puts a cabinet or sofa on top of the beam, he knows it won’t sag anymore. Master Dry helped improve the integrity of his home and he could not have done it without Josh and the team!
This 22-year-old home owned by Jane R. in Bluff City, TN used to have flooding in the basement every time there was a heavy rain. The homeowners had finally had enough when they made the call to Master Dry to take care of their wet basement.
Salesman Jake Smith went out for an initial inspection and found that quite a bit of work needed to be done to repair the basement. He sent our foreman, Michael Geasland and a crew to get started on the work right away. The team needed to put in WaterGuard - a piping system to drain any water in the basement - but in order to install it, they first had to cut away the bottom portion of the wall. Once the wall was cut away and the WaterGuard was installed, they also installed a TripleSafe sump pump. This pump provides three levels of protection in order to keep the home dry. In addition, the crew replaced the water heater in the home and restored the walls when the job was done.
Now, Jane's basement is no longer prone to flooding when it rains and she can rest easy knowing that her home is protected.
Homeowner Amanda N. was having trouble with water in the basement of her Blountville, TN home. To find a solution to her problem, Amanda gave Master Dry a call. Sales representative, Mike Wells was sent out to inspect the home and come up with a plan of action to remedy the water problem.
On Mike’s recommendations, Brad Cox and his team spent two days at Amanda’s home installing products to waterproof her basement. They installed WaterGuard, a unique drainage system, to properly drain any water that might find its way into the basement. In addition, they installed a SuperSump pump to prevent water accumulation, as well as a couple of other accessories to aid the sump pump.
When the job was finished, the team was proud of the work they had done and Amanda gained peace of mind knowing that her basement would not longer be plagued with water damage.
David, a Piney Flats homeowner, called Master Concrete Services because he was fed up with how his garage floor had been gradually settling. The front of his garage became a safety concern and lacked stability, causing David to be worried about having his son anywhere within the vicinity of the garage. Sales representative, Jonathan Wiesehuegel, conducted a free inspection and estimate to get the project started and notify David regarding the required course of action.
Led by foreman Paul Walinski, Master Concrete team members injected a polyurethane solution into the concrete slab to fully level the surface. Polyurethane injections are clean, aesthetically pleasing, and easy solutions to concrete stability issues that allow you to continue about your day without interruption. Initially, project team members drilled a small hole in a strategic location in the concrete floor and then injected a solution that causes a chemical reaction to occur, which produces a strong, stable polyurethane foam. The foam hardens in minutes, allowing the concrete slab to transform into its full capacity form and hold heavy loads almost immediately.
Not only was David pleased with the efficiency of the job, but also how the project did not inconvenience him in any way. He could now rest assured that his basement was a safe area for his son to use and play on. Are you concerned about the safety of your unlevel concrete slabs? No need to worry, give Master Concrete Services a call and let us conduct a free inspection and estimate!
Roger K. of Piney Flats, TN understood the importance of making sure your crawl space dry and insulated. He sought out the help of Master Dry to accomplish this. Sales Representative Jake Smith provided Roger with an accurate inspection and estimate.
Foreman Jordan Pierce led the team of Masters through the lining and insulation process. They began by laying down black plastic over the dirt floor of the crawl space. This prevents ground water from getting into the crawl space. They then lined the walls with SilverGlo Insulation to help protect Roger’s wallet from unnecessary energy bills. This will help keep his home warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Roger was very satisfied with the work done by Jordan and his team. He even mentioned how hard the group worked on his crawl space. He now enjoys a dry crawl space!
